0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE LOWER RIO GRANDE WATER USERS

0012|     ORGANIZATION TO PARTICIPATE WITH THE STATE ENGINEER TO COMPLETE

0013|     HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS IN DONA ANA COUNTY; DECLARING AN

0014|     EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local
    |
0019|     government division of the department of finance and
    |
0020|     administration for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998
    |
0021|     for the purpose of funding local participation of the lower Rio
    |
0022|     Grande water users organization, an organization comprised of
    |
0023|     governmental entities, to complete hydrographic surveys in Dona
    |
0024|     Ana county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0025|     at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general
    |
0001|     fund.
    |
0002|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0003|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
