0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A CENTER FOR BIOMECHANICS

0012|     AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred forty-six 
    |
0016|     thousand three hundred dollars ($446,300) is appropriated from
    |
0017|     the general fund to the board of regents of the university of
    |
0018|     New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for the purpose
    |
0019|     of establishing a center for biomechanics at the university of
    |
0020|     New Mexico for specialized training of orthopedic surgeons and
    |
0021|     therapists and to improve clinical care opportunities to
    |
0022|     patients with musculoskeletal disorders.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
