0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITIES IN THE

0012|     SCHOOLS PROGRAM.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0018|     year 1998 for the purpose of supporting the communities in the
    |
0019|     schools program to increase parental and community involvement
    |
0020|     in public school education.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0021|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert
    |
0022|     to the general fund.
