APPROPRIATION.-- | 0018| A. One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is | 0019| appropriated from the general fund to the secretary of state | 0020| for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to pay expenses incurred by | 0021| the secretary of state in conducting a special congressional | 0022| election in the third congressional district. Any unexpended | 0023| or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year | 0024| 1997 shall revert to the general fund. | 0025| B. Five hundred forty-seven thousand dollars | 0001| ($547,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the | 0002| secretary of state for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to | 0003| distribute the appropriate amounts to the county clerks of the | 0004| counties in the third congressional district to pay expenses | 0005| incurred by the counties in conducting a special congressional | 0006| election in the third congressional district. Any unexpended | 0007| or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year | 0008| 1997 shall revert to the general fund. | 0009| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public | 0010| peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately. | 0011|  |
