  Mr. President:
  
      Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                     SENATE BILL 4, as amended
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation
  that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
      
      1.  On page 7, line 24, after the second occurrence of "are"
  insert "required to be".
  
      2.  On page 8, line 4, after the period insert "The department
  of public safety shall maintain a registry that lists the name and
  affiliated federal agency of every federal law enforcement officer
  recognized and authorized to act as a New Mexico peace officer
  pursuant to the provisions of this subsection.".
  
      3.  On page 8, line 11, strike "sheriffs's" and insert in lieu
  thereof "sheriff's".
