0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A STATEWIDE BASIC MATH AND

0012|     SCIENCE PROGRAM RELATED TO THE STUDY OF NEW MEXICO'S HISTORY,

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0019|     year 1998 for the purpose of establishing a statewide program
    |
0020|     of math, science and New Mexico heritage, to be administered by
    |
0021|     eastern New Mexico university.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0022|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert
    |
0023|     to the general fund.
