0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF CERTAIN HOMELESS

0012|     PROGRAMS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred sixty-six thousand
    |
0016|     seven hundred twenty dollars ($266,720) is appropriated from
    |
0017|     the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of supporting homeless
    |
0019|     programs in any class A county with a population of fewer than
    |
0020|     four hundred thousand persons.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0021|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert
    |
0022|     to the general fund.

0022|       3.  On page 1, line 12, before the period insert "IN

0025|       4.  On page 1, lines 18 through 20, strike "for the purpose

0003|   insert in lieu thereof "to provide homeless services, including

0004|   shelter, for homeless people in southern New Mexico counties
    |
