0011|     RELATING TO HEALTH; MAKING A SPECIAL APPROPRIATION FOR HUMAN

0012|     IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS SERVICES AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION--PROGRAMS.--Two million four
    |
0016|     hundred thousand dollars ($2,400,000) is appropriated from the
    |
0017|     general fund to the department of health for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of funding statewide human
    |
0019|     immunodeficiency virus support services, including medications,
    |
0020|     advocacy, housing, complementary and Native American therapies
    |
0021|     and insurance assistance; prevention programs, including peer-
    |
0022|     based outreach, targeted populations capacity building,
    |
0023|     behavior change support, groups, counseling and testing; and
    |
0024|     provider education and an information network.  Any unexpended
    |
0025|     or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
    |
0001|     1998 shall revert to the general fund.
