0011|     RELATING TO CAPITAL EXPENDITURES; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO

0012|     IMPLEMENT PHASE ONE OF THE LYNDON B. JOHNSON MIDDLE SCHOOL

0013|     TECHNOLOGY PLAN; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred seventy-five
    |
0017|     thousand dollars ($375,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0018|     fund to the state department of public education for
    |
0019|     expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of
    |
0020|     purchasing and installing computers, software and related
    |
0021|     hardware for phase one of the technology plan at the Lyndon B.
    |
0022|     Johnson middle school in Bernalillo county.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0025|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
