0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DNA IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM FUND

0012|     FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTING THE PROVISIONS OF THE DNA

0013|     IDENTIFICATION ACT.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars
    |
0017|     ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the DNA
    |
0018|     identification system fund for expenditure in fiscal year 1998
    |
0019|     for the purpose of implementing the provisions of the DNA
    |
0020|     Identification Act, contingent upon enactment of Senate Bill
    |
0021|     114 by the first session of the forty-third legislature.  Any
    |
0022|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1998 shall not revert to the general fund.
