0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TWELFTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT FOR A

0012|     CHILD-SUPPORT HEARING OFFICER; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty-three thousand five
    |
0016|     hundred dollars ($53,500) is appropriated from the general fund
    |
0017|     to the twelfth judicial district for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0018|     years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of hiring an independent
    |
0019|     contractor for the position of child-support hearing officer,
    |
0020|     who shall provide services for thirty-two hours per week.  Any
    |
0021|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0022|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0023|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0024|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
