0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONDUCT A STUDY TO DETERMINE THE

0012|     FEASIBILITY OF EXPANDING THE NATURAL GAS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

0013|     INTO THE MOUNTAIN VILLAGES OF NORTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local
    |
0018|     government division of the department of finance and
    |
0019|     administration for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for the
    |
0020|     purpose of contracting to conduct a study to determine the
    |
0021|     feasibility of expanding the natural gas distribution system
    |
0022|     into Cordova, Truchas, Ojo Sarco, Las Trampas, El Valle,
    |
0023|     Chamisal, Picuris pueblo, Rio Lucio, Vadito, El Llano, Rodarte,
    |
0024|     Penasco and other small communities located in Rio Arriba and
    |
0025|     Taos counties.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0001|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0002|     general fund.
