0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE STATEWIDE HOME WEATHERIZATION

0012|     PROGRAM FOR LOW-INCOME PERSONS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION--WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM.--Five
    |
0016|     hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the
    |
0017|     general fund to the economic development department for
    |
0018|     expenditure by the state housing authority in fiscal year 1998
    |
0019|     for the purpose of weatherizing homes for persons whose incomes
    |
0020|     are at or below one hundred twenty-five percent of the federal
    |
0021|     income poverty level.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0022|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0023|     general fund.
