HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM.--The board of | 0017| regents of the university of New Mexico shall initiate a | 0018| graduate student health insurance program. The program shall | 0019| make health insurance benefits available for purchase by all | 0020| graduate students; however, the university shall pay one-half | 0021| of the annual policy premium for graduate students who are | 0022| under contract with the university as teaching assistants or | 0023| research assistants. | 0024| Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand | 0025| dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the | 0001| board of regents of the university of New Mexico for | 0002| expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of paying one- | 0003| half of the health insurance annual premium for research | 0004| assistants and teaching assistants at the university. Any | 0005| unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of | 0006| fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund. | 0007|  | 0008| |
