      Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                          SENATE BILL 500
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation
  that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
      1.  On page 1, line 20, strike the period and insert "for the
  following school districts in the following amounts:
  
          A.  fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for Grants;
  
          B.  fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for Silver City;
  
          C.  fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for Las Cruces;
  
          D.  fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for Portales; and
  
          E.  fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for Gadsden.,
  
      and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
