0011|     RELATING TO CAPITAL EXPENDITURES; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO

0012|     ACQUIRE LAND FOR A NATIONAL VETERANS' CEMETERY ADJACENT TO THE

0013|     VIETNAM VETERANS' MEMORIAL LOCATED IN EAGLE NEST IN COLFAX

0014|     COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($700,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     property control division of the general services department
    |
0020|     for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose
    |
0021|     of acquiring land for a national veterans' cemetery adjacent to
    |
0022|     the Vietnam veterans' memorial located in Eagle Nest in Colfax
    |
0023|     county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0024|     the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0025|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
