0011|     RELATING TO CEMETERIES; RAISING THE INTERMENT FEE.

0013|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0014|          Section 1.  Section 24-13-4 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1939,
    |
0015|     Chapter 224, Section 4, as amended) is amended to read:
    |
0016|     "24-13-4.  BURIAL AFTER INVESTIGATION--COST OF OPENING AND
    |
0017|     CLOSING GRAVE.--The board of county commissioners after proper
    |
0018|     investigation shall cause any deceased indigent to be decently
    |
0019|     interred or cremated.  The cost of opening and closing a grave
    |
0020|     shall not exceed <s>[thirty-five dollars ($35.00)]</s> <u>six hundred
</u>    |
<u></u>0021| <u>    dollars ($600)</u>, which sum shall be in addition to the sums
    |
0022|     enumerated in Section <s>[13-2-6 New Mexico Statutes Annotated,
