      Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                          SENATE BILL 534
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation
  that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
      1.  On page 1, lines 11 through 13, strike "PROVIDING THAT A
  MAJORITY OF JURORS IN A CAPITAL FELONY PROCEEDING MAY SENTENCE THE
  DEFENDANT TO DEATH;".
  
      2.  On page 1, line 14, strike "SECTIONS" and insert in lieu
  thereof "A SECTION".
  
      3.  On page 1, strike lines 18 through 25 in their entirety,
  strike all of pages 2 and 3 and on page 4, strike lines 1 through 7
  in their entirety.
  
      4.  Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.
  
      5.  On page 4, line 19, strike the comma at the end of the line
  and insert "or".

  
      6.  On page 4, lines 20 and 21, strike "or any other inherently
  dangerous felony".
  
      7.  On page 5, strike lines 17 through 22 in their entirety.
  
      8.  Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
  
      9.  On page 5, lines 23 and 24, strike "knowingly created a
  great risk of death to many persons or".
  
      10.  On page 6, strike lines 1 through 5 in their entirety.
  
      11.  Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
  
      12.  On page 6, line 7, strike "twelve" and insert in lieu
  thereof "thirteen".
  
      13.  On page 6, line 7, after "age" strike the remainder of the
  line in its entirety, strike lines 8 through 11 in their entirety
  and insert in lieu thereof a period and closing quotation mark.
