0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SUPREME COURT FOR THE PURPOSE OF

0012|     PROVIDING FUNDING FOR COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES (CASA)

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the supreme
    |
0018|     court for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of
    |
0019|     establishing and funding the court appointed special advocates
    |
0020|     (CASA) programs throughout the state.  Any unexpended or
    |
0021|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0022|     shall revert to the general fund.
