  Mr. President:
  
      Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                          SENATE BILL 596
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation
  that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
      1.  On page 1, after line 25 insert the following new paragraph
  to read:
          "(1)  of a misdeameanor if the property or vehicle was a
  value in excess of $100 but less than $250;".
  
      2.  Renumber succeeding paragraphs accordingly.
  
      3.  On page 2, line 3, after "value of" insert "over $250 but"
  
  and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
