CORRECTIONS DEPARTMENT--AUTHORITY TO CONTRACT | 0020| WITH GOVERNMENTAL OR PRIVATE ENTITIES IN THE UNITED MEXICAN | 0021| STATES.-- | 0022| A. The corrections department may contract with the | 0023| United Mexican States, any state or governmental entity in the | 0024| United Mexican States or any private entity in the United | 0025| Mexican States for the purpose of transferring Mexican | 0001| nationals committed to the custody of the corrections | 0002| department to facilities in the United Mexican States to be | 0003| incarcerated or provided parole services. | 0004| B. The corrections department shall include terms | 0005| in any contract entered into pursuant to Subsection A of this | 0006| section to ensure that inmates transferred to the United | 0007| Mexican States are treated in a humane manner. The corrections | 0008| department shall also require documentation from any public or | 0009| private entity it contracts with that any inmate transferred to | 0010| the United Mexican States remains incarcerated for the duration | 0011| of his sentence. | 0012| Section 2.
