0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A JUDICIAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

0012|     PROGRAM FOR METROPOLITAN COURT JUDGES AND FOR A PILOT STUDY FOR

0013|     APPELLATE COURT JUDGES.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred twelve thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($212,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0019|     years 1998 and 1999 for a judicial performance evaluation
    |
0020|     program for metropolitan court judges standing for retention
    |
0021|     and to conduct a pilot study to evaluate the performance of
    |
0022|     appellate court judges.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0023|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |
0024|     general fund.
