0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ADDITIONAL TRUANT OFFICERS FOR THE

0012|     HIGHLAND HIGH SCHOOL CLUSTER IN ALBUQUERQUE.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred sixty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($160,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0018|     year 1998 for the purpose of hiring three truant officers for
    |
0019|     the Highland high school cluster in Albuquerque.  Any
    |
0020|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0021|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
