0011|     RELATING TO BAIL BONDSMEN; PROVIDING THAT BAIL BONDSMEN SHALL

0012|     ANNUALLY COMPLETE SEVEN HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION; ENACTING

0013|     A NEW SECTION OF THE BAIL BONDSMEN LICENSING LAW.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  A new section of the Bail Bondsmen Licensing
    |
0017|     Law is enacted to read:
    |
0018|          "[<u>NEW MATERIAL</u>]  CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.--A
    |
0019|     person licensed as a bail bondsman shall annually complete
    |
0020|     seven hours of continuing education regarding aspects of the
    |
0021|     bail bondsman business."
    |
0022|          Section 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the
    |
0023|     provisions of this act is July 1, 1997.
