0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE FOSTER GRANDPARENTS PROGRAM IN

0012|     THE SHIPROCK AREA OF SAN JUAN COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0017|     agency on aging for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998
    |
0018|     for the purpose of supporting the foster grandparents program
    |
0019|     in the Shiprock chapter area in San Juan county.  Any
    |
0020|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0021|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0022|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY--It is necessary for the public
    |
0023|     peace, health and safety that this act ake effect immediately.
