0018|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND STIPENDS FOR GRADUATE

0021|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0022|         Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred forty-four
    |
0023|     thousand five hundred ten dollars ($744,510) is appropriated
    |
0024|     from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico
    |
0025|     state university for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for the
    |
0001|     purpose of funding stipends for graduate assistants.  Any
    |
0002|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0003|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
