0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF AN AFTER SCHOOL

0012|     LEARNING PROGRAM FOR AT-RISK YOUTH IN CLOVIS IN CURRY COUNTY;

0013|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Ninety thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($90,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     children, youth and families department for expenditure in
    |
0019|     fiscal years 1998 and 1999 to provide or contract for a pilot
    |
0020|     project after school learning program for at-risk youth,
    |
0021|     including academic tutoring, computer training and learning
    |
0022|     development for youth of single parents, to be operated twelve
    |
0023|     months a year.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0024|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |
0025|     general fund.
