0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE INTERSTATE STREAM COMMISSION

0012|     FOR A STATEWIDE ASSESSMENT PLAN TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILITY

0013|     OF WATER FOR THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO FOR FORTY YEARS.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars
    |
0017|     ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0018|     interstate stream commission for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1999 for the purpose of conducting a statewide assessment plan
    |
0020|     to determine the availability of water for the state of New
    |
0021|     Mexico for forty years.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0022|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert
    |
0023|     to the general fund.
