Section 57-19-32 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1993, | 0017| Chapter 98, Section 8) is amended to read: | 0018| "57-19-32. LABELING.-- | 0019| A. No person shall sell, offer for sale or permit | 0020| the sale of any petroleum product unless there is firmly | 0021| attached or painted on the container or dispenser from which | 0022| the petroleum product is offered for sale a sign or label | 0023| stating the grade or type of product being offered for sale. | 0024| The sign or label shall be plainly, visibly and prominently | 0025| displayed in a manner prescribed by regulation of the board. |

0001| B. The board may identify petroleum products of a | 0002| special nature, composition or quality, and it may establish | 0003| labeling requirements for such products. | 0004| C. A sign or label used in connection with motor | 0005| oil or lubricating oil shall include the society of automotive | 0006| engineers viscosity grade classification number preceded by | 0007| the letters "SAE" [and the American petroleum institute | 0008| service classification preceded by the words "API service"]." | 0009| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public | 0010| peace, health and safety that this act take effect | 0011| immediately. | 0012|  |
