0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE SAFE WATER PROGRAM FOR

0012|     LOW-INCOME, ELDERLY AND HANDICAPPED NEW MEXICANS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars
    |
0016|     ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 1999
    |
0018|     to provide statewide safe water programs for low-income,
    |
0019|     elderly and handicapped individuals to improve both drinking
    |
0020|     water and sanitation systems throughout New Mexico.  Any
    |
0021|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0022|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
