            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN HOUSE DISTRICT 58.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:
          
          A.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design, construct, equip
and furnish an addition to the volunteer fire department and community center facility at
Midway in Chaves county;

          B.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for a maintenance building in the
town of Dexter in Chaves county;

          C.  two hundred thirteen thousand seven hundred dollars ($213,700) for an
addition to the town hall in Dexter in Chaves county;

          D.  eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) to purchase a backhoe for the town of
Dexter in Chaves county; and

          E.  six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to construct a facility to provide
comprehensive child development and family support services in Chaves county;

                    to the state department of public education:
     
                    eight hundred sixty thousand dollars ($860,000) to renovate the track and
          stadium facilities at Dexter consolidated schools in Chaves county;

                    to the department of environment:

                    twenty-two thousand three hundred dollars ($22,300) for renovations to the
          water tank system in the town of Dexter in Chaves county; and


                    to the state highway and transportation department:

                    four hundred four thousand one hundred dollars ($404,100) for phase two street
          improvements in the town of Dexter in Chaves county.
