HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 299 STATE OF NEW MEXICO 43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998 REQUESTED BY R. DAVID PEDERSON FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN MCKINLEY COUNTY. I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded: to the local government division of the department of finance and administration: A. nine million two hundred thousand dollars ($9,200,000) to expand the sewage treatment plant in Gallup in McKinley county; B. three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to repair and renovate the former city jail into a DWI incarceration facility for felony DWI offenders, in Gallup in McKinley county; to the state highway and transportation department: - 1 - A. one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to acquire rights-of-way and plan and design an extension of Nizhoni boulevard to Gallup high school in Gallup in McKinley county; B. two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to acquire rights-of-way and plan and design improvements to county roads in the vicinity of the Rock Springs Navajo Nation chapter house and Chee Dodge elementary school in McKinley county; to the state department of public education: one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to plan, design and construct a performing arts auditorium on the campus of Gallup high school, in Gallup in McKinley county.
