HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 367 STATE OF NEW MEXICO 43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998 REQUESTED BY RICK MIERA FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN HOUSE DISTRICT 11 IN ALBUQUERQUE IN BERNALILLO COUNTY. I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded: to the local government division of the department of finance and administration: A. one million dollars ($1,000,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a new building or renovate and equip an existing building for the Albuquerque police athletic league in Bernalillo county;

B. two million dollars ($2,000,000) to design and construct a fresh water exhibit depicting the Rio Grande headwaters' habitat of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico, including equipment and site improvements in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; C. one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to design and renovate Mary Fox park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county to address safety and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 requirements; D. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to design and renovate Old Town plaza to address water conservation, landscaping and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 requirements in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; E. five hundred fifty thousand dollars ($550,000) to plan, design and renovate Tiguex park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county to address water conservation, landscaping and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 requirements; and F. one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to design and construct exhibits for the butterfly pavilion and insectarium at the Albuquerque biopark in Bernalillo

county; and to the state highway and transportation department: A. five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to design and construct improvements to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. boulevard in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; B. two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to design and renovate the medians on Lomas from Eighth street to Old Town in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; C. two million five hundred thousand dollars ($2,500,000) to construct streetscape improvements along Central avenue from Eighth street to Coors boulevard in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; and D. one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to improve Central avenue from Girard to Broadway in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county.
