SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 297

            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY
                          CISCO McSORLEY               





FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 16 IN ALBUQUERQUE IN
BERNALILLO COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of
          finance and administration:

          A.  one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000)
to acquire the land, design and construct Bataan park in Albuquerque
in Bernalillo county; and

          B.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan and

implement capital improvements and commercial revitalization
activities along Historic Route 66, Central avenue, between Louisiana
boulevard and Girard boulevard in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county. 
This will protect and enhance public and private investments in the
region, including residential, commercial and the state fair.
