SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 344 STATE OF NEW MEXICO 43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998 REQUESTED BY PHILLIP J. MALOOF FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 26 AND CITYWIDE IN ALBUQUERQUE IN BERNALILLO COUNTY. I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded: to the local government division of the department of finance and administration: A. eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) to design and construct Alamosa center park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

B. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to design and develop East Atrisco park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; C. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to design and renovate Lavaland park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; D. eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) to acquire land for, design and construct Tower community park and pond in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; E. five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to improve and expand the West Mesa community center in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; F. two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to design and develop Parkway park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; G. five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to design, develop and construct Pat Hurley community center in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

H. three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) to design, renovate and develop Pat Hurley park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; I. one million dollars ($1,000,000) to develop and construct park-and-ride locations with transit service to encourage the use of alternative transportation in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; J. two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for environmental design projects citywide to reduce crime and vandalism in neighborhoods in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; K. one million dollars ($1,000,000) to expand police substations in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; L. five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for a hangar for the police department helicopter fleet in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; M. five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to rehabilitate Sun vans to use for the welfare-to-work initiative in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; and N. one million dollars ($1,000,000) for construction

of the west side transit facility in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; to the state highway and transportation department: A. two million five hundred thousand dollars ($2,500,000) to construct streetscape improvements along Central avenue from Eighth street to Coors boulevard in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; and B. seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to design and construct medians on Ouray from El Tesero Escondido on the east to Unser on the west side of Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; and to the state agency on aging: one hundred twelve thousand dollars ($112,000) to provide meals equipment for the nutrition program and senior centers citywide in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county.
