                           REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS IN LEA AND ROOSEVELT COUNTIES.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of
          finance and administration:
          
                    thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) for expansion,
          remodeling and repair of the Arch community center in Arch
          in Roosevelt county;

                    to the New Mexico department of agriculture:

                    one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for the purchase
          or lease of equipment for soil and water conservation
          district projects in Lea county; and

                    to the state highway and transportation department:
          
                    six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) for road
          improvements in Hobbs in Lea county.
