0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A PILOT PROJECT FOR COMPUTER

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred eighty-seven
    |
0017|     thousand dollars ($987,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0018|     fund to the state department of public education for
    |
0019|     expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of conducting
    |
0020|     a pilot project in computer assisted reading for students with
    |
0021|     severe needs in the Gallup-McKinley county school district. 
    |
0022|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
