0011| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO INITIATE AND IMPLEMENT A PUBLIC

0012| POLICY PROGRAM FOR NATIVE AMERICAN STUDENTS; DECLARING AN
|
0013| EMERGENCY.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five
|
0017| thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general
|
0018| fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for
|
0019| expenditure in fiscal years 1999 and 2000 for the purpose of
|
0020| initiating and implementing a public policy program for Native
|
0021| American students in conjunction with the Woodrow Wilson
|
0022| national fellowship foundation. Any unexpended or
|
0023| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000
|
0024| shall revert to the general fund.

0025| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
|
