  SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number 1 to SENATE BILL 41
  
  Amendment sponsored by Senator Manny M. Aragon 
  
  
      1.  On page 1, line 13, after "TO" insert "ISSUE BONDS FOR A
  BUILDING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO SCHOOL OF LAW AND TO".
  
      2.  On page 1, between lines 18 and 19, insert the following
  new section:
  
      "Section 1.  AUTHORIZATION OF PROJECT.--Pursuant to the
  provisions of Section 6-21-6 NMSA 1978, the legislature authorizes
  the New Mexico finance authority to issue bonds payable from the
  public project revolving fund in an amount not to exceed four
  million dollars ($4,000,000) for the purpose of making a grant of
  the proceeds of such bonds to the board of regents of the
  university of New Mexico for acquiring, constructing, equipping or
  improving a building at the university of New Mexico school of
  law.".
  
      3.  Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.
  
      4.  On page 3, between lines 5 and 6, insert the following new
  section:
  
      "Section 4.  CONTINGENT EFFECTIVE DATE.--The provisions of
  Sections 2 and 3 of this act shall be effective on the day
  following the day that the New Mexico finance authority makes the
  grant to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico
  authorized in Section 1 of this act.".
  
  
  
      5.  Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
