0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR LEGISLATIVE RETIREMENT; DECLARING

0012|     AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred sixty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($360,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0017|     the legislative council service for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0018|     1999 for legislative retirement.  Any unexpended or
    |
0019|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999
    |
0020|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0021|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0022|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0023|     immediately.
