APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred sixty-nine | 0019| thousand twenty dollars ($469,020) is appropriated from the | 0020| general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for | 0021| expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and 1999 in the following | 0022| amounts for the following purposes: | 0023| A. twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for the | 0024| purchase and installation of playground equipment for the | 0025| Navajo Nation head start; |

0001| B. forty-eight thousand dollars ($48,000) for the | 0002| purchase of a passenger school bus for the Navajo Nation head | 0003| start; | 0004| C. three thousand seven hundred dollars ($3,700) | 0005| for the purchase and installation of fencing for the Navajo | 0006| Nation head start; and | 0007| D. three hundred ninety-seven thousand three | 0008| hundred twenty dollars ($397,320) to purchase and install | 0009| modular school buildings for the Navajo Nation head start. | 0010| Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the | 0011| end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund. | 0012| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public | 0013| peace, health and safety that this act take effect | 0014| immediately. | 0015|  |
