Honorable President and Members of the Senate:

I have this day VETOED and am returning SENATE BILL 402, as amended, enacted by the Forty-Fourth Legislature, First Session, 1999.

This legislation changes the membership of various boards and commissions. This bill contains provisions which conflict with legislation previously passed by the Forty-Fourth Legislature and which I signed into law. Therefore, I am vetoing SENATE BILL 402 in order to avoid this conflict.
