AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF DEVELOPMENTALLY DELAYED OR AT-RISK URBAN NATIVE AMERICAN CHILDREN IN NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of determining the number of urban Native American children who are at risk for developmental delays or who are developmentally delayed in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
