AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DISTRIBUTION TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITH MULTITRACK YEAR-ROUND SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of distributing funds to school districts with multitrack year-round schools by multiplying the unit value by .05 of the student membership of a school on a multitrack year-round school year. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
