AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A CHILD-CARE CENTER THAT PROVIDES NONTRADITIONAL CHILD-CARE HOURS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated to the following agencies in the following amounts from the general fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to create a child-care center in Las Cruces to provide nontraditional child-care hours:

(1) twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to the children, youth and families department;

(2) twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to the human services department;

(3) twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to the economic development department; and

(4) twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to the labor department.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
