AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND A PEDIATRIC EARLY LITERACY PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-one thousand seventy dollars ($31,070) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of contracting for a pediatric early literacy program in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
