AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MATCH FEDERAL FUNDS FOR ADDITIONAL CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million one hundred forty-six thousand six hundred dollars ($1,146,600) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of matching federal funds in a sufficient amount to add sixty-three new child support enforcement officers statewide. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
