AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND EIGHT TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT PERSONNEL TO ALLOW FOR THE CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY-SUPPORTED INSTRUCTION AT ALTERNATIVE SCHOOLS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred forty thousand dollars ($340,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding eight technology support full-time-equivalent positions for the continued development of technology-supported instruction at alternative schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
