AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR VARIOUS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of providing statewide domestic violence services, including emergency shelter, food, clothing, adult and children's counseling, family counseling, crisis call response, parenting classes and support groups. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
