AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE CULTURALLY COMPETENT CARE AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR NATIVE AMERICANS WITH THE HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of contracting to provide culturally competent care and case management for Native Americans with the human immunodeficiency virus. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
